I finally finished cooking my meals for the coming weeks. About an hour ago I sealed up the servings of the final dish I needed to cook (and put off for a couple days): chickpea curry (I added some extra spices to that recipe, see below). Now I can relax! All my meals are taken care of for the next 2 weeks at least. And lucky you, I’m going to share the recipes I used and let you know how they turned out.
If you think brussels sprouts are gross, you haven’t had them cooked correctly for you. If it involves anything close to boiling, it’s going to be gross. Brussels sprouts should be sautéed and browned which will produce a great tasting vegetable that is quite versatile. However, we only make it with bacon. Because bacon. Make a double batch and throw the rest in the freezer for later.
Meal planning is essential to running an efficient cooking operation. Whether it’s for yourself, you and your spouse, or a family it will save you gobs of time and cash. All you have to do is put some time aside for planning and dedicate a day or two to a cooking frenzy. After that, you can take the month off and eat foods from your freezer!
